Journey Groups – Do you ever say or think: I want more meaning in my life or I want a deeper relationship with God and those I love? Many of us don’t understand why we can’t seem to live whole and healthy lives.
Unexamined life experiences can be the answer to this question. All life experiences whether they are achievements, beliefs, wounds, events, disappointments or celebrations, leave their imprint in our spirit and on our souls.
As adults, we know there are areas we need to improve on; but don’t understand that some of our tougher areas can be a direct result of practices, beliefs, events or words said to us as children. The good news is, as adults, we’re able to make changes in our lives.
A Journey Group provides an opportunity for participants (usually 4-7) to share experiences we’ve had in an environment that is safe and guided by trained facilitators. Biblical core concepts are taught at the beginning of each session. Personal homework and group exercises frame the small group sharing time. Participants learn how to respond to one another in ways that balance grace and truth and lead to emotional and spiritual growth. Groups meet for 9 sessions.
For more information, email Donna Smith or call her at 281-358-2137.
