Relationship Goals Retreat

April 2nd & 3rd – Limited Registration opens February 1st

8th – 12th Grade

One of the most important parts of our lives is relationships. Whether they are friendships, dating, or family relationships, some fundamental principles apply to Biblical relationships. We will explore some of these principles through this retreat but will primarily focus on healthy dating relationships. We will start from a biblical foundation and talk about some of the challenges in our “hook up” and casual dating culture. Our lessons will go deep and open the door for discussions at home.
Students will walk away with a foundational understanding of biblical dating, a plan for who and how to date in a healthy way, and accountability around their goals and objectives in dating. Our goal is to give your student the best chance at healthy and successful relationships.

Student Ministry Leadership

Rev. Clint Wyllie

Rev. Clint Wyllie

Born and raised in Kansas City home of the greatest football team on the planet, I love all things sports, outdoors, and anything you can compete at… literally anything. I have three crazy kids and a rock star wife who has supported me since 2008 when we got married, and I started in student ministry. I genuinely believe that revival comes from this generation of students and cannot wait to see how our students play a role in that awakening.

Hello everyone! I’m from the GREAT state of Alabama, where I was born and raised in Mobile. I served as a summer intern at KUMC for two summers, and once I graduated from the University of South Alabama (Go Jags) in December of 2019, I moved to Texas to join the KUMC staff! I’m a huge sports lover, especially for the Auburn Tigers and the Boston Celtics! I believe that this generation of students is truly going to make a HUGE impact on this world; honestly, they already have. It’s a generation of leaders that are truly being shaped and molded by the gospel of Jesus Christ. I’m just blessed to be able to be a witness to it!

Hey there! I joined KUMC’s student ministry team in 2019 after marrying my husband and moving from my home state of Oklahoma (Go Pokes!). I love grabbing coffee or lunch with our students, and I’m passionate about serving and caring for our youth! These students are a generation of world changers, and I am so humbled that I get work alongside them!

I serve Student Ministry in the coveted “Youth Secretary” position. Although my official job description has me managing the office and handling event registrations, you can also find me decorating the Loft, dreaming up Ramen Noodle Bars for the students, and advocating for the rental of extravagant inflatables. Having grown up in a parsonage, I’m familiar with all aspects of church life but the calling to Student Ministry has definitely been a “God Thing”! I welcome the opportunity to share the love of Jesus with students and adults. I know personally the transformative power of that love and grace. I’m married to Jason and we have one daughter, Jane Kate.

I’m the Vine worship and student worship leader at KUMC. I am from the greatest city in the world, Chicago IL, and enjoy songwriting, playing music around Houston, and playing pickup basketball. If you are interested in serving in the youth band, email me, or even better, come and find me on Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings!

GET INVOLVED – ADULTS

Student Ministry Council

Student Ministry Council is a group of dedicated and invested parents and volunteers who advise the student ministry staff and lead action teams to help extend the scope and reach of the ministry.

Weekly Small Group Leader

Our small group leaders are vital to helping a large youth group feel small and personal for students. Through weekly interaction and monthly group time, these leaders walk through the thick of life with their age and gender-specific groups as they foster community and discussion in their groups.

GET INVOLVED – STUDENTS

Student Leadership

Our student leadership team allows students of any age (6th-12th grade) who have a heart for serving, encouraging, and leading others to strengthen their leadership qualities.  We use a “you must be poured into, to be able to pour out” approach, and thus expect these students to be actively pursuing their relationships with God.  If you would like to join this team, we would love to have you!  Contact Megan Hallof for more information.

Youth Band/AV

Speaking Team

Have you ever felt called to speak or have been interested? God calls us to spread the gospel, and one of those ways is through teaching. The speaking team allows students to learn the insides and outs of developing lessons, devotions, and sermons while also understanding how to prayerfully and humbly process through them in a way that honors God. Students will be given opportunities to speak to the youth group and be carefully guided in developing and practicing their lessons! If you’re interested in joining the speaking team, please contact Blake de Llacer for more info!
