The Kingwood UMC Student Ministry is about creating spaces for students to connect to one another and Christ. We’re devoted to training & equipping students to do ministry every day in their world.
Weekly In-person Gatherings
9:30am | the Loft (upstairs k building)
Going deeper is what Sunday morning is all about. Come join us as we dive into Scripture to get a better understanding of what the Bible says to be true of God, us, and the world.
Small Group Sunday | 4th Sunday of each month
Student worship and teachings with occasional breakout sessions
Community is our main focus on Wednesday nights! We spend time worshipping, teaching, and intentional time to be with each other. Students experience life together here.
Every Wednesday (except the first of the month), we will be on campus from 6:00-7:30pm for highs and lows. On the first Wednesday of each month, we will be off campus from 6:30-8:00pm for special events!

Student Ministry Leadership
Blake de Llacer
Hello everyone! I’m from the GREAT state of Alabama, where I was born and raised in Mobile. I served as a summer intern at KUMC for two summers, and once I graduated from the University of South Alabama (Go Jags) in December of 2019, I moved to Texas to join the KUMC staff! I’m a huge sports lover, especially for the Auburn Tigers and the Boston Celtics! I believe that this generation of students is truly going to make a HUGE impact on this world; honestly, they already have. It’s a generation of leaders that are truly being shaped and molded by the gospel of Jesus Christ. I’m just blessed to be able to be a witness to it!
I’m the Vine worship and student worship leader at KUMC. I am from the greatest city in the world, Chicago IL, and enjoy songwriting, playing music around Houston, and playing pickup basketball. If you are interested in serving in the youth band, email me, or even better, come and find me on Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings!
GET INVOLVED – ADULTS
Student Ministry Council
Student Ministry Council is a group of dedicated and invested parents and volunteers who advise the student ministry staff and lead action teams to help extend the scope and reach of the ministry.
Weekly Small Group Leader
Our small group leaders are vital to helping a large youth group feel small and personal for students. Through weekly interaction and monthly group time, these leaders walk through the thick of life with their age and gender-specific groups as they foster community and discussion in their groups.
GET INVOLVED – STUDENTS
Our student leadership team allows students of any age (6th-12th grade) who have a heart for serving, encouraging, and leading others to strengthen their leadership qualities. We use a “you must be poured into, to be able to pour out” approach, and thus expect these students to be actively pursuing their relationships with God. If you would like to join this team, we would love to have you! Contact Blake de Llacer for more information.
Have you ever felt called to speak or have been interested? God calls us to spread the gospel, and one of those ways is through teaching. The speaking team allows students to learn the insides and outs of developing lessons, devotions, and sermons while also understanding how to prayerfully and humbly process through them in a way that honors God. Students will be given opportunities to speak to the youth group and be carefully guided in developing and practicing their lessons! If you’re interested in joining the speaking team, please contact Blake de Llacer for more info!
