Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
We believe in the power of prayer!
Prayer at Kingwood UMC
KUMC Prayer Ministry invites you to join in prayer at these opportunities each week. On Tuesday afternoons, join us at 1:00pm on Zoom in lifting up prayers for the Church and our nation.
On Wednesday evenings from 6:00-7:00pm in the Prayer Chapel, we gather to pray for the church and the community.
On Sunday mornings at 9:00am in the Commons, we invite you to gather before worship to pray.
A quiet place located outside the Sanctuary to pray and reflect during operating hours. Intercessors are available to pray with you on Sunday mornings during each service and offer communion (except the first Sunday of the month).
In the heart of our campus is a prayer garden that brings opportunity for reflection and peaceful worship.
Shawl ministry exists to provide comforting and prayed-over reminders of God’s love. These shawls are available through our office anytime and in worship the third Sunday of every other month.
1 Church Initiative
As part of the 1 Church Initiative, KUMC has committed to joining 38 other churches in our community to a day of prayer. KUMC’s dedicated day of prayer is the fourth Tuesday of every month. A prayer guide will be available for those who participate. Please join KUMC and the other churches in the area as we create a canopy of united, strategic prayer as well as strengthening the “culture of prayer” in each church.
