Moms, Have you ever gotten excited about a bible study only to find that it is held while you are at work? Ever feel you must choose between serving your family and serving your church community? Ever wish you had time in your life for Christian fellowship with other Moms but just can’t imagine where to “fit it in”? Do you ever participate in online discussions or message boards only to struggle with content that isn’t in keeping with Christian fellowship? Have we got a study for you! Well, actually we don’t have one YET. But if you answered “YES” to any of these questions, we invite you to join a bible study community geared especially for busy moms. Friendship and Bible Study

This Wednesday, January 13, 2010 will begin a new session in the young mom’s Bible Study. We will meet at 9:30 for breakfast snacks in the Fellowship Hall. Class with Rev. Matt Stone begins at 10 – 11:30. He will be leading us through the parables of Jesus as we relate them to our lives. Small group discussion will continue to be integral during our time together. Women of all ages are invited to join this group as they pray for each other, study scripture and find practical applications for living out their faith. The group has great fellowship prior to class each week and supports Pharr Community Outreach and a ministry with women in prison. Contact person: Melanie Cheairs.

United Methodist Women

The United Methodist Women organization is the oldest group for women in our church. This is a denomination wide group which is open to every woman in the church. At KUMC it consist of an executive board, a general meeting once a month for all members and circles for special interests which also meets once a month except summers. The purpose of UMW is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ, to develop creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

Women's Ensemble
|

The Women's Ensemble is a group of dedicated, talented ladies who enjoy a musical challenge. The group sings in worship services throughout the year and at special events both inside and outside the church. WE meet on Thursday evenings, 7:15-8:45PM. WE are under the direction of Meredith Koerner and Donna Baxter. If you have a good quality voice, strong reading skills, and are not afraid of a challenge, please contact Meredith or Donna for more information.
