INTERNET STUDY FOR BUSY MOMS
|

Moms, Have you ever gotten excited about a bible study only to find that it is held while you are at work? Ever feel you must choose between serving your family and serving your church community? Ever wish you had time in your life for Christian fellowship with other Moms but just can’t imagine where to “fit it in”? Do you ever participate in online discussions or message boards only to struggle with content that isn’t in keeping with Christian fellowship? Have we got a study for you! Well, actually we don’t have one YET. But if you answered “YES” to any of these questions, we invite you to join a bible study community geared especially for busy moms. Participation is through the “Busy Christian Mothers" “Google group”. Contact Rev. Judy Tefteller to join this course.

1. Anointed - Transformed- Redeemed A Study of David From the Deeper Still event featuring Priscilla Shirer, Beth Moore and Kay Arthur- " Three women explored their lives and the life of David. You'll laugh with them, cry with them and learn to love God with them. Join Pricilla, Beth and Kay for two weeks of daily Bible study by each author.
2. Beth Moore's Stepping Up- a journey through the Psalms of Ascent - " Stepping Up : A journey through the Psalms of Ascent explores the Psalms 120-134. Traveling pilgrims sang these Psalms both on the way to the great festivals of the Jews and as key elements of the worship at those festivals. Eugene Peterson description of the Psalms: " There is not literature in all the world that is more true to life and more honest than the Psalms, for here we have ' warts- and- all religion.' Every skeptical thought, every disappointing venture, every pain, every despair that we can face is lived through and integrated into a personal, saving relationship with God- a relationship that also has in it acts of praise, blessing, peace, security, trust and love. Good poetry survives not when it is pretty or beautiful or nice but when it is true: accurate and honest. The psalms are great poetry and have lasted not because they appeal to our fantasies and our wishes, but because they are confirmed in the intensities of honest and hazardous living."
